Not true. CSA sent an email to all their ECNL players/parents that even though teams were formed, given the upheaval at CISC, they would entertain tryouts and add additional players beyond 18 on each roster if talented players reached out. Know of three 2010s who have been offered by CSA. Two are Q4 birthdays so likely snatching them up now to be studs on a younger Birth Year team in 2026-2027.

Coming from a CISC ECNL (at the moment) parent that isn't super thrilled about the GA move....our kids aren't going to Fox or CSA. First, CSA already formed their ECNL teams for next year and aren't taking anymore kids in. In fact they're trying to figure if they have to lose their DPL program and shift those kids to different programming. Second Fox is interested in our player pool to the point they'll do private early tryouts for players but they have an issue with their own kids wanting back into the CSA/CISC clubs because things didn't turn out so well like they thought it would be when they left in mass when Fox formed.

But you are correct that we weren't told of move until after tryouts and our teams were formed. They gave us all option to drop without penalty, none from our team have left but aren't thrilled.

Fusion NC will absolutely be in MLSN/GA next year if they get approved. Their Girls ECNL director and asset director both fired this month, being presented as reorg but both told you're not coaching in ECNL next year after being on prove it years and as typical the club's teams failed to perform. Carolina Core just plucked the asst director to their staff and it leaked early and this guy got terminated in middle of Jeff Cup and replaced with the other dead fish to finish coaching the remainder of their teams there.

It doesn’t work that way. ECNL shifted the MA teams when it created a new region. So even if you add 1, ECNL can just shift it around to create the “balance” they want for playoffs.

It’s extremely political.

Champions league playoff equals more visibility. Winning would be great but the visibility is the ultimate goal.

3 spots are plenty. Who wants to go out west to get destroyed by a CA/TX team?

Does ENCL ever consolidate their playoffs overall to just 16 teams like they do with the U19's?

I don't see them getting away from the $$ that is to be made with having 44 teams plus the showcases at the U16/U17 age groups.

NorCal has 10 teams with only 3 playoff spots, MA would probably drop to 3 if they don’t add another team.
