Also, if you want your shareholders to be happy, you have to make your customers happy first.

I can't wait for Target's Q1 earnings report to be released in May.
Their Q4 2024 growth was so strong ($90mil over the forecast) that they were predicted to grow 7.25% in 2025 but there's no way that's happening.
I am 100% sure that Q1 is going to be a loss, and experts are predicting Target to be down for Q2 as well.

Yes people are actually choosing not to spend money in a store that went back on their commitment. But the Supreme Court says money is speech so no, it’s not nonsense, it’s a clear non-violent message to Target to do better, and to retailers like Costco that maintaining those programs is financially beneficial.

It sounds like you are ideological and lack critical thinking skills if you actually think that affirmative action isn't discriminatory. You don't even seem to acknowledge who has been tearing up cities recently. There are ways to become less intellectually lazy, but it has to come from within.

DEI is very different and has nothing to do with individual hiring or quotes. So, there is someone intellectually lazy or lacking, but it is the person in your mirror.

My local Target is one of the few places (maybe the only one) with special parking spaces for wounded veterans — spaces that were added long after the regular handicapped parking spaces. They should paint over them now and let anyone park there since they’re no longer into DEI. It was performative anyway. Those spaces were almost always empty.
Or maybe redo them as regular handicapped parking spaces so that a wider range of people who need them can access them.
That s great idea. Since target is following the lead of the Republicans now,.there is no more DEI for veterans either.
Vet family and I agree with you. This would fall under “A” for accessibility that they hate and since we can’t be nice anymore, parking spaces for wounded vets should go too.

IMO they’re losing the “omg get this viral clothing item!!!” Influencer-type posts to Amazon and Walmart. I see a lot of shopping accounts hyping up Walmart clothes lately. That combined with the protests over the ending of DEI programs combined with consumers just watching their wallets more means that fewer people are shopping at Target in general.
