Hell no. All you care about is landing safely and alive. This is exactly why Trump won and why Democrats got smoked.


Please explain in detail what exactly you think is the problem? If there is a shortage of ATC then why wouldn’t you analyze your internal policies to see if you can expand the hiring pool?

This. My friends child is an air traffic controller. It’s looong shifts. Stressful. You have people’s lives in your hands. The son said that most of them in the area he works are divorced bc it’s a strain on families.

Right now they are understaffed and not hiring and there's a government wide OPM policy in effect that for every person who retires or resigns or is fired, that position will be abolished.

There is an existing lawsuit against the FAA for their rejection of qualified candidates for being white.


That’s not evidence of anything. Anyone can Sue over anything. I used to litigate these types of claims.

Citation for that is needed. And y'all also need to stop making up silly bullshit about "hiring blind air traffic controllers because of DEI" because that never happened. There are medical and physical requirements to qualify. Being blind, or even colorblind, would be disqualifying.

Nothing else will work.

I’m from a blue state with 2 blue senators and a super blue congressperson. I obviously sent the obligatory emails, but they would have taken action regardless.

Do you have friends and family in red states? Tell them to send an email.

But until the people whose voices matter push back (read: conservatives), nothing will change.

It sounds like it wasn’t the controllers fault, but the President then went on a bashing spree blaming them for something horrific happening. Could you imagine the guilt that Air Traffic Controller is feeling right now that people died on their watch even if they did their job right, just to be dragged through the mud by the most powerful person in the country?
