i agree! we had kids early and now have 2 kids on college an are mid 40s. we ar run a good spot financially. college is all paid for. i’m trying to encourage my DH to maybe switch careers and do spending he loves. he’s always wanted to be a teacher or work at a school in some capacity. Wish he would make the switch. His job is insanely stressful.
My DH is going to purse academia as soon as our youngest is in college and we aren’t tied to our school district. He doesn’t care about being tenure track but I still know it will be difficult to get. But he at least wants to see what happens. I fully support it.
