NCAP Marymount merged with Tysons for the HS aged groups. I know it’s harsh, but essentially the 2nd tier HS aged swimmers from NCAP Marymount were told they would now be practicing at Tysons and some left as a result. NCAP Marymount has elite 13 and over talent now.

PP here - that makes total sense. What a bummer. Some of those girls are really fast too, tenths off sectionals at 13/14. That Marymount group must be really elite.

It’s because they changed the practice location and combined TY and MM. Many Arlington parents didn’t want to drive to Tysons.

Last night’s results at NCSAs proves out a simple formula that dictates the line of a swim site or team formula. Either type choose building a group based on what works for the most swimmers you have, or build it on your best swimmers talents. For better or worse this is the GP model which in the end is efficient and rewarding for some, and a hot waste of time for others. Yet, dear reader, the have not DPs keep crying, running subversion internally at the site, spread gossip, directly meddle in the affairs of others, and act like complete berks, because it is not about the swimmer but them. Learn your place and accept it, leave, pull your kid, or grow up. Until the top changes this site will always be about the best, not the rest

🙄 DP, it’s literally what the rankings are, it’s not some kind of NCAP propaganda. The Swimcloud rankings are interesting, for the 13-14s they include swimmers who have since turned 15, but NCAP, RMSC and Machine each have girls that are still 13 and rank in the top 15. For the boys there are no current 13 year olds in the top 15. There is also heavy representation on both the girls and boys 13-14 and 15 and over lists for NCAPs VA sites.

AU mentality is all in garbage yardage and how to best demoralize kids in practice

Go back and read all the comments and tell me everyone isn’t saying the same thing, which is NCap VA sites are fine- it’s AU/Prep that is declining in a disastrous manner. They should just give up those sites and let other teams use those pools. Neither of those Gold coaches should be employed

Yean, and NCAP has more swimmers than RMSC, probably twice as Machine and possibly 10 times more than ASA.

NCAP is only slightly bigger than RMSC. 1900 vs 1600. Machine is about 1200. ASA is 300.
