The very, very many that I know all come from extreme wealth or they married a high earner. Like, literally every journalist I know (legit- career-WSJ, NG, NYT...) they all live in 2M+ houses. Their kids attend big OOS universities/colleges schools, predictable NE places or typical southern privates. It's expensive, like 80K a year.
These people are not starving.
