Does nobody think about the ramifications of their actions until it affects them individually? Southern states are trying to ban abortions in all instances - rape, incest, health of the mother. Why would you let your daughters, yourself, your nieces, your sisters, go through such pain? HOW IS THIS NOT IMPORTANT TO YOU!?! Why is your money more important than your health?
Some white women prefer the benefits of white supremacy over reproductive rights, especially the older ladies.
Young college educated women are coming out in droves for Harris.
Oh, so now Dems hate older white women? Add us to the list.
Dems love ALL women.
The GOP does not.

Yes, but patients who are diagnosed with sepsis are usually treated immediately, not the next day. The standard of care for sepsis was denied to Amber because of Georgia’s abortion laws. Someone who is pro-life should be very upset that doctors were discouraged from saving her life. A medical panel ruled that her death was preventable, despite her abortion complications. She was denied the standard of care.

Not voting for Trump, but think the hysterics (pun intended) are hyperbole. Republican women are not much different from Democrat women. I believe that reasonable policies will take place. I also believe Roe was bad precedent for ruling from the Ben h in many issues, and have asked for decades if this was so important why wasn’t it legislated or put in the constitution. Politicians should have continued to debate until there was a resolution among them.
Reasonable policies lead to Amber Thurman’s death and her young son’s being motherless.
The Supreme Court interprets the constitutionality of our laws. They’re the highest court in the land and the final authority. The SC ruled in Roe that women have the right to abortion access. After 40+ years of Roe being the law of the land, all 3 of Trump’s SC nominees said they considered it to be settled law. Why would Congress debate settled law? The people who need to explain themselves are the ones who threw out precedent they indicated was settled.
Amber Thurman died of a botched legal abortion, not because of withholding an abortion FFS.

OP - yes states can do something about it but many southern states are going even further in the right where it is not allowed at all. Many women don't even know they are pregnant at 6 weeks. Abortion should be allowed up to 24 weeks, which is 4 weeks after a normal anatomy scan.
I argue with my mom (staunch pro lifer) all the time about this. She insists if women get pregnant accidentally or by rape or whatever then they should just be forced to carry the baby and give it up for adoption. What she doesn't have any empathy for is how hard it is on a woman's body when they are pregnant. My body is permanently hurt due to my 3 pregnancies. All very much wanted. But I have terrible pains and I don't think I could carry another pregnancy even if I wanted to.
I’ve never understood this argument. Even if we assume for the sake of argument that a fetus is a baby from day one, why does that mean the mother must sacrifice any portion of her body for the child if she does not want to? No one would force a mother to give a kidney to her child, even if most of us agree that she should. We also agree that it is up to the mom to choose whether to give her kidney or not.
