Not the biggest Elrich fan but Montgomery County is very corrupt and it’s the progressives that are the worst because they tell themselves that it’s for a good cause.

Yeah, and we are going to take THE BUS! lol.
Actually, it would probably make sense to build density along some of those corridors. It makes no sense to upzone random SFH neighborhoods across the county. Not for housing, anyway. To satisfy your density fetish, maybe, but why not just move somewhere closer to what you want?

Why? Because was a way for them to build? But don't you support term limits regardless who is CE? or were you looking for a king elrich??
Give me a break. No one wants to live next to the poors. Keep them in PGC and Montgomery Village with others of their kind. Elrich understood Montgomery County shouldn't welcome any more of them than we have to.
Except for all of the plans on the books to build that haven’t been activated. Elrich, like most sensible people, would like to do what might work in a way that’s a least disruptive to existing communities. I know this bothers the density fetishists, but I’m sure that we can hand out tissues to them.
Are you under the impression that the county government decides when and where development happens? It doesn't. It can decide where development isn't allowed to happen, but it can't force development where it isn't economically viable.
If there was a need, the builds would happen. After all, I thought that you guys bothered to at least read the Cliffs notes version of macro. You base your entire dimestore philosophy on it.
So, again, this isn’t about housing. The mealy mouthed YImBys even go and on about how “it will be gradual!” and “you’ll barely notice!”
This is an about changing the nature of the suburbs to the liking of a minority, most of whom don’t even live there. In fact, so many of the cult members will talk about how they want to change neighborhoods for people that don’t even live in the county yet.
The "I got mine" attitude of the NIMBYs is staggering. The neighborhood you live in didn't always look the way it does now. The so-called "nature" of that neighborhood changed to accommodate you and many other would-be homeowners, many of whom did not live in the county at the time the homes were built.
This is a very silly argument (still), and you seem like another entitled and delusional twit. Just save us the time and read through the threads about upzoning. It’s unbearable to have to explain it again and again.

Anonymous wrote:Voters votes are the term limits. This was a power grab driven by Republicans who deliberately concealed their affiliation. This is exactly the MO of the Republican Party who has very successfully infiltrated local governments and school boards. Get ready for more book ban attempts, anti immigrant sentiment, and developer / corporate driven agendas that screw over middle class and working class people just like the “attainable housing strategies”.
