I wonder if most people will do that in the coming years. If your own genetic material sucks, you can just order materials from people with better genetic material. Then voila, you can have thin gorgeous smart girls and tall brave muscular brilliant boys.
Every one of those things you mentioned, besides height, is a flaw in and of itself. But there’s nothing actually wrong with being short (within a range obviously). You might be limited in a few sports which happen to be popular but besides that the only issue comes with how society treats short people. If you believe that we should eliminate shortness from the gene pool due to discrimination of short people then you could apply this logic to any other group of people with features that are discriminated against and argue that they shouldn’t reproduce either.
Another issue is that height is RELATIVE. A 5’7 man isn’t intrinsically short, he’s short because it puts him it the bottom 30% or whatever of height compared to the rest of the male gender. If we increase the average male height to 6’5 through selective breeding then men who are 6’2 will be considered short. There will always be men in the bottom 50% no matter how tall the average is.

I can go days without seeing a man taller than me. So when women say they want tall men it doesn't end there..they also want men who are kind and have great sense of humor....and they also want these men to have a good career or at least good prospects...So clearly these men are less than 5% of the mens population. Yet it appears that maybe 40% of women want such men. I honestly don't believe they truly desire such men or else.they will give up on love.
I don't want women to chase me. I want to chase them. And being 6'4 I tend to prefer women who are at least 5'6. My wife is 5'8. So while some women may want tall men, tall men don't necessarily look for short women below a certain height..so there is a vacuum where both men and women are wishing for a partner that simply doesn't exist or is super rare
Yeah right about the bolded. Lol
All else being equal, in my younger years, I'd have chosen a 25 year old 6'4 phd making 90k over a 5'6 phd/ software engineer/lawyer making 150k or even 200k.
Most educated women in this area can make 100k-300k and wouldn't mind a man making less if the man is ambitious in a low paying field ( hence i qualified with "all else being equal"). Very very few men are 6'4. So, in your case, your height is more important than your income.
Now if you were a musician or making millions, then your charm ( musician, and yes even broke musician[b]) or your money can become more important than your height. Or if you were a physician -- physicians are universally highly respected -- your profession could overshadow your height. But a 150k income, even with higher earning potential is not moving the dial much in favor of income for most short men vs. a 6'4 average earning man.
However, there are large enough populations of women, many of whom are very attractive, who don't care about height. Short men need to do their homework. I have several Jewish, Hispanic and Asian friends who don't even notice height unless a man is below 5'4 or above 6'2.

These women must have been really underweight if they were over 5’6 or really short

That kind of hair-trigger anger was disqualifying in ways the height never would have been. I told him as much when I declined the next date.
