And, in the meanwhile our kids miss 6 months of acacdemics and othe rthings. He doesn't need six months. He works for the BOE and is their puppet. His focus shouldn't be on the budget, he has paid staff to do that for him. Same with a plan. We need leadership now.

I’m actually looking forward to him being more involved and informed with regards to the budget as I think it a leadership item sorely missing from MCPS outside of finance. Strategic planning is the key reason why you hire a leader. If he’s not going to be really involved in helping set the priorities and focus areas then I would question the purpose of him(or any Super) being around. Just because he’s more involved doesn’t mean Administrators or Staff is off the hook for doing some really hard work.
