I am fine paying a bit more in taxes especially given how incredibly well I've done personally in the last 3 years.

Yes, PP, you should pay for all the undocumented migrants coming in the country too. They will keep on coming and you continue to work hard for them.

Those undocumented immigrants pay a shitload of taxes, especially into Social Security, and will never get a benefit from the program. They also work a lot harder than you do at anything, you lazy cow.

So, yeah, keep the immigrants coming.

(It’s truly amusing to me how MAGA has convinced itself this is a significant issue in the election for voters. It’s not.)

LOL, those illegals will never pay enough in taxes to make up for the services they consume.

What resources are those?

Pro tip: Only look in someone else’s bowl to be sure they have enough. Doing it for other reasons makes you a despicable human.

My thoughts exactly. Don’t look into my bowl, conclude I earn too much and seek to tax me more. Allow me to maintain the bulk of my hard earned money and use it to provide for myself and my beloved family. That is the true motivation of all work and innovation.

Are you a top 1% earner? Then your effective federal income tax rate is about 25%, which means 75% is left to you for other things. I’d say that’s “the bulk of your hard earned money”. Stop whining.

Let's give 25k for homeowners and increase prices of homes / increase inflation ?

Let's give more student loan forgiveness and that doesn't increase inflation right?

Let's increase taxes on business by 7%, that doesn't increase prices and increase inflation??

The policies are insane.

Again, the 1% hold a majority of the wealth, so they absolutely should pay at least what they are paying, if not more.

The issue is we don’t tax wealth. We should fix that.

The issue is that liberals who want higher taxes aren't already sending in additional payments to the Treasury.

Put your money where you mouth is. If you want higher taxes, start sending your checks to the Treasury ASAP.

Or are you a hypocrite?

How do Republicans think we are going to reduce the debt?

Also Trump’s tax cuts on the middle class expire next year. If this bothers you, how do that not bother you?

And they hold a greater percentage of this country’s wealth. That’s why the wealth gap is increasing.

But go ahead, keeping making people like me richer, thinking that’s your path to success.

Hmm… and yet none of you are looking into others’ bowls and seeing the glaringly obvious fact that they DON’T have enough. Hypocrites. Selfish. Pathetic.

Anyone earning over $500k who isn’t moving it to carried interest is a moron.

God, I hate listening to the folks who are the most well-off by virtue of living in this country constantly whining about having to pay for anything in this country. Most of you “high earners” add little if any *actual* value, but you suck up resources like it’s your God-given right.

It’s not enough for you leeches to hoard wealth; no, you have to just constantly WHINE that you’re not allowed to hoard MORE.

The reason you cannot do that is then their benefits would soar too. And if you object to THAT you just completely changed SS into a pure welfare program and any semblance of bipartisan support for it (which is already tenuous) disappears.

There is already a cap on the max you can receive in SS benefits no matter how much you pay in. They should just keep that limit and increase the wage cap, which is far too low anyway. It should be more like $200 or $250K, or not have a wage cap at all.

You do that and you completely change the social contract on SS and doom it to the dustbin of history. Of all the things, this is hands down the worst idea of them all if you are interested in preserving the program.

So did I. Plus 1,000

Same. Taxes went up under Trump.

Those would be what, top 0.1%? The top 1% threshold is at about $700K/yr income. They pay collectively less than half the taxes. That’s not “the vast majority”. The top 0.1% pay a small minority of total tax. Don’t be totally wrong about shit. That’s what repubs do.

Anonymous wrote:Sorry, too much graft in government from hard earned tax payer's incomes.

What planet do you live on? The largest example of graft was ABSCAM, which is now 40 years ago. It was <0.1% of the federal budget then and today would be <0.01% of the federal budget, but there hasn’t been anything of this magnitude since then. Graft is an utterly insignificant aspect of overall federal spending.

Without public schools and social programs he never would have gotten out. We're not interested in pulling the ladder up behind us. We can easily afford some extra taxes.

Despite dumping larger amounts of money proportional to 30 years a go into public schools and social programs they are much lower quality because of the influx of poverty and non English speakers coming in from illegal immigration. This is something very different than 30 years ago

There are roughly 50 million students in public schools across the US. The number that are illegal immigrants is hard to measure, but is known to be <2 million and probably <500,000. Please explain how a 2% population has caused the massive change in quality that you describe.
