Particularly on the girls side, they showed they haven't a clue about who's who. A knowledgeable TD would've seen the names in this tournament and moved on. Instead they threw some of these teams to the wolves. 14-0? Friendly or not, that's embarrassing to HS aged kids. Horrible decision by leadership. But if they didn't know, BP let them know
. But don't hold your breath 'cause seems they got a bunch of hard heads over there. The 07 girls team still has some VERY good players that decided to stay put since they were probably already committed somewhere and didn't make sense for them to leave. So, this doesn't apply to them. They should've been the only team on the girls side in this tournament.

Thanks. I get it now. So then this really doesn’t matter at all. Even more so than other tournaments because there can’t even be a bracket winner.

Cause these are paid friendlies. Your team pays to play a certain number of games.

Only redeeming attribute has been that it's at a decent complex on a decent weekend and no flights that we know of.

Syc 2010 lost to 2-1. Offense was horrible specially striker low soccer IQ and new defensive personnel. They must had demoted 2 best center backs from last year Asian kid and the African kid. Arlington got this 8-1
why is it a demotion when a coach plays players in other positions where they make more impact to the game and on the team?

The devil is in the details for some of these games. I know that the 07 TSJ GA team was short some players on Friday so they moved up a couple players from the 08 team, who were also short themselves a couple other players due to sickness. TSJ isn’t carrying +20 players at each age so even a little shuffling has its impacts. These aren’t intended to be excuses as it is very possible other clubs are having similar issues.
Having watched a few games I think one can see which clubs have gone through consolidation or separations as they are struggling to develop a basic familiarity between new players and with type of play being asked for by new coaches.
