Subject: If you don’t have more than 2 children, why?
I have 2 kids and they get along better than I could have ever imagined. They are best friends. Our family dynamic is perfect and our family feels complete.
I was also very sick through both pregnancies and I don't want to be absent from my family for a third pregnancy, but that's a secondary reason. It would be fair to anyone to go through that again, including me.

You must spend a lot of time on DCUM and not be very good at math. DCUM is a small percentage of DC, the US, and the world. The fact that you would look at comments (not aimed at you specifically) on DCUM for guidance on the number of children is mind boggling.

DP here. I can look at families with 3+ kids IRL and easily observe all the same things. They are either outsourcing a ton, have major family help, or drowning.

+1. Plus time is finite. I wasn’t willing to spend less quality time with each child or have less energy or focus for them. Everyone I know with more than 2 kids has to give things up in terms of time or attendance at events or whatever. A lot more divide and conquer. This obviously happens from 1 to 2 kids as well and I didn’t want to divide up my time a third time.

Because 2 is the max that I believe that I or my husband could take care of by ourselves.

Couldn't afford it. Tuition is 35k/year k-12, then another 300k+ for college.

Unfortunately I was diagnosed with cancer. Would have loved to have had 4 but not in the cards.
