what on earth is "above average"?

I was shocked to find so many posters had come from deprived backgrounds, facing hunger, poverty and systematic abuse in their families of origin, and their marriages thereafter.

I am lucky not to be one of those people, but I would never call myself "above" any of them. What a vile concept.

I also speak five languages, but I think it is very common in DMV area considering how many diplomats are here.

I know a lot of diplomats, world bank workers, IMF, EU reps. Not common at all.
