One would have to die. It would be like Sophie’s choice. I think they did the right thing.

+1. Both could have died. The risk of losing one or both was too great.

One is married and one is tagging along. Abby is 4 inches taller so the other twin has to walk on her toes to keep up. What kind of life is that? They only have one set of reproductive organs. So if they get pregnant who is listed as the mother?

Wow wow what a weird perspective. I remember watching them originally on Oprah back in the day, and it was very unlikely that both would survive and if one did they may not have been able to fully function.

They aren't really fully functioning now.

Of course they are.

I've followed them for years. They've always tried to stress their unique individualities despite their connectedness. Legalities aside, it's hard to see how someone can be married to one, but not the other. If the husband is really only in love with Abby, how does this not negatively impact Brittany? With the exception of kissing, they will experience the same things physically, but emotionally he is in love with just one? How could that not be difficult? I hope Brittany can find love, too.

Have you seen their biological, skeletal and how their organs are arranged?
Really??! You’re still asking this question?

And the more I think about it, the more bothered I am. I understand that Abby and Brittany have no doubt learned to zone out from each other, but I gotta side-eye any third person joining their situation who's able to just completely ignore one of them. Anyone with an ounce of empathy would include the other person who's RIGHT THERE. It's an unfortunate catch-22 for the women that a truly nice, kind guy would never be able to block out one of them to date the other one.

They say Chang and Eng did 3 days alternating in their respective homes and wives. They would be basically silent and nap a lot on their "off days"

The taller one, one the left, is cute.

They are identical twins.

They do not look identical.
