Subject: If someone guesses your nationality or race wrong do you get offended?
It's just annoying that no one tries to guess my white husband's ethnicity. He's just "American," whereas I am the forever foreigner, despite the fact that my family has been in the US far longer than his.

Anyway, of course I don't get offended. It is motivating me to want to learn Spanish though.
I have a friend who this happens to all the time. She's Italian and has a darker complexion than many, and in this area Hispanic people do try to speak to her in Spanish.
