+1. Why not just sell your house and move on? May I ask what is the point of coming on DCUM to complain? There are plenty of people who like Bethesda, but that does not matter for your individual situation because you have found that you do not like it.

If PP cares about school rankings then they will care to make a distinction between the part of Kensington with a 10 ranked elementary school vs the part with a 3 ranked elementary school. They literally said they were moving for school quality.


Only complete morons rely on Great schools..if anything elementary is when the "bad" (snort) part of Kensington really shines.

You must be in 20816. Come over to a different neighborhood - downtown has all that, Woodmont Triangle, etc.


I live in 20816 (near Westbrook ES) and neither me nor my friends wear Vineyard Vines or drive Range Rovers.

My neighborhood friends are very down to earth, nice people who show up for each other when needed. I see some of these higher maintenance people you refer to around, but they are everywhere in the DMV, not just Bethesda. They also live in NoVa, DC and other areas.

I had to check to make sure this wasn't an old comment of mine. I'll go to get bagels and there's one camp my daughter likes there, but otherwise not my cup of tea at all. I'm much happier in Silver Spring.


Where is the camp? Like next to a stream and woods?
