Rutgers is a great school, but kids aren't feeling NJ like that. And unlike Ohio State, the sports aren't great for kids who want that Big 10 experience. Awesome for an in state option.

Kind of like UMD College Park.

per that link, it's 34% Asian, 31% white. Hardly majority Asian.

The proximity means connections to jobs and internships in NYC and can't be beat. I went and my kid went and the sky is the limit. Big school but if your kid doesn't need handholding, vibrant social scene and excellent education and opportunities.
