No, I will never forget him. From the day I met him to the day years later when I slammed the door in his face and went no contact...he was memorable. I have never wanted him back, though. I do not regret breaking up with him.

It is taking me a lot of time. At some point I think it will happen.

Dating a new guy currently and I still have my ex on my mind when having sex. Not sure if that will ever change but I can't stop thinking about him.

For the one who cheated on me along with the other person who broke my heart into 100 pieces on a Manhattan street, I NEVER look them up and push them out of my head if my mind wanders. For a couple of other people who were good human beings, but it didn't work out long term, look at their social media a couple of times a year. yes of course. sometimes it does take getting back into another relationship after you have taken some time to figure things out and try with someone new. if people couldn't move on no one would ever end up with anyone. most of us are not dating our first love

YES this.

The question I ask is framed more along the lines of, "are you able to romantically love someone again after you lost someone you loved" ... for me I have loved a few people in my life and those situations did not work out. I am married now and am very much in love and happy. I still remember my past loves but am no longer in love with them or want to be with them. They changed me every relationship and situation in life does.
