How would you know what brand they are?
- private school Mom who doesn't recognize half of what PP posted
They have the Chanel logo on the toe.
Many wealthy people are anti logo.
Prof sports players and SOs love logos tho. Go to private school in Miami and check it out!
The Chanel logo one the ballet flats is pretty inconspicuous. You would have to be looking for it. It is embossed on the toe, so it doesn’t really stand out.

Many of the other moms are wearing conspicuous designer items. I’ve seen more Chanel flats, Gucci bags, Van Cleef bracelets/necklaces, Hermes belts, and Cartier love bracelets in the past few weeks than I’ve ever seen in my life.
Is this typical for these types of parents, or are they just dressing like this for the open houses to signal wealth and status?
I would get used to this if you are going private. Keep in mind a Cartier love bangle is literally attached to one’s wrist. You need a special screwdriver to take it off! Also, “love bangle stacks” are very common and popular at local area privates.
I don't know why this feels kind of icky to me, but I also have mild claustrophobia
Anonymous wrote:Ballet flats are super in this fall. Chunky loafers are out. They were last winter.
Even I know this--49 year old mom who follows a dozen or so influencers on Instagram.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:OP, the fact that you spot: the Chanel flats, Gucci bags, Van Cleef bracelets/necklaces, Hermes belts, and Cartier love bracelets -- this says you are one of them.
NP but these are very easy to spot. You don’t need to know very much at all to spot these since they have giant logos or have been around for years at this point. They are gauche but to each their own.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I don't want to take the thread off topic, but ballet flats with a Mary Jane strap are what's in right now for fall. Lug soles are out, but sleek loafers with a low profile heal are in also. Boots to the knee are also in with low or now heal. Sling-back kitten heals are also in.
OK carry on.

I don't take any advice from someone who cannot spell "heel" correctly, yet claims to be fashion-obsessed.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I wouldn’t be able to pick any of those things out, so the fact that you can says a lot about you, op. It tells me that you are very label-conscious and are hyper aware of what people are wearing/have.
I had the same thought reading OP. Neither VCA jewelry nor Cartier Love bracelets have logos written on them. You have to know what to look for... and then, apparently, get upset about finding it?

Lol seriously? I’d be surprised if these people are buying fakes. Especially knowingly…
I love buying high end fakes. As other PPs have said, the costs are stupid (even for people who can easily afford them) but I still like how they look.
I had an 18k VCA fake made for me. It has all the proper engravings. Love it.

This is absolutely true. My husband and I couldn't believe how healthy everyone (parents and children) looked. It was refreshing.
