Subject: Aug 9th for Fall Sports is ridiculous

Subject: Aug 9th for Fall Sports is ridiculous
None of my kids play Fall sports at high school level for this reason.
They all play(ed) winter and spring sports and travel baseball/softball goes until end of July. They need that last month for a true summer, vacations, and to rest their bodies. Aug 9th makes it impossible. And like another poster mentioned the workout times and practices are early afternoon and not feasible.
I am sure for kids who prefer a fall sport only and don’t have summer, sports, a summer jobs or camp, they just prioritize it. I know many that don’t though.
