From what I have seen, the 8-12Us are coached by parents with very few that have "real" coaches. So hang in there - your experience will get better as your daughter gets older.

My DD currently plays and we’ve seen the following teams: Classics, Darnstown, PPA, PVT, and T2F. Are there any others out there? Can’t say I’ve been particularly impressed (just watching from the sidelines) with what I have seen. We are new to AAU Basketball and it all seems to disorganized and fragmented. Can’t make heads or tails of what’s the better league, which has the best coaching, etc. If my kid didn’t love to play as much as she does, I would throw the towel in because trying to figure it all out is one big headache. Any guidance would be most appreciated.
You can include the Fairfax Stars, but they are a top team and unless your daughter is amazing, she won’t have much of a shot. Same for Team Takeover, Team Durant, Boo Williams. The EYBL teams are on a different level. All players are usually D1 prospects, even coming off the bench.
PVT and Elevate Elite are decent mid tier teams, although Elevate is out in Reston/Herndon. PVT is usually decent for the area you are looking. They practice mostly in Bethesda these days even though they were purchased by the St James.
