My DC's significant other also chose Swat over UVA, great fit overall, and very similar opportunities and small classes to DC's ivy

Was there a major factor in the decision? Reputation? Size? Undergraduate teaching?

Swarthmore's alumni include six Nobel Prize winners. It ranks No.3 per capital among all universities and LACs in U.S. Swarthmore is a level higher than UVA and W&M. It’s very strong in so-called “hard” science for undergraduate.

If you were, say, a secondary school college counselor, your opinion would offer more substance. I don't see what your own college choice adds to your insight. That is, unless you had attended a Tri-Co school perhaps.

Ha ha what a ridiculous post showing a complete lack of self awareness. That you went to HYP gives no greater weight to your OPINION. And that’s what we’re talking about here - opinions, not facts.

Are you this insufferable in real life?

I believe you made a good, perhaps even sophisticated, point here. Your contribution might have been better advanced if you had left off the personal comment, however.
