He has a history of misogyny that was on full display last night. I was agreeing with a PP that his humor is not for me for that reason.

Possible yes. But the nature of stand up comedy is being observant and finding humor in everything things that otherwise are not. Name top 20 comedians and then how may of those are PC. Spoiler Alert: Most are not. Self-deprecating? I personally don't want to hear an overweight comedian talk about being fat or a black comedian talk about how terrible it is to be black. I guess some people do, but that is not who Chris Rock is. It is so hard for me to understand why people cannot understand that you do nothave to like everything that other people do. We live in America. You have the option to turn it off. Saying he is "full iof sh$t". is acting like a immature kid saying a specific food is gross. The absolute language is not called for and using it seems like a l"ack of self-awareness and grace". And it just makes everyone tune you out and become defensive. Just say "I don't like it" would be more effective. Your taste is not everyone else's.

Will Smith just did a random pro-Jamie Foxx post, and he responded with a gushing post. I’m sure it was coordinated. Seems like they are both trying to get people to publicly support them.
Fwiw, Will and Jada deserve it all. The joke was not offensive (other things he has said are more so). Will has mental problems driven by Jada treating him like crap. That’s really not Chris Rock’s problem, and he’s clearly better at responding with words than his own fists.

That poster said they barely knew of any of her work except some small roles and I was simply responding that Jada has actually starred in some classic movies. But overall she's been in tons of stuff and I'm surprised that's all the pp has heard of (or you if you're the pp). Not a Jada fan girl, but she is 50 and black. There are not a lot of big lead roles that are available.
It seems that she has always been a supporting actress in mainstream movies/shows with more of a leading role in "black" movies. I do think being Mrs. Will Smith has given her more exposure and opportunities than she likely would have had. Lately in addition to acting in Madagascar and Girls Trip and Matrix, it looks like she has been executive producer in various works and in the past 4-5 years she has been able to provide a name for herself with something original like Red Table Talk.
