Madison has excellent coach and will rebound no doubt (2 year state champs, bound to have dud game every once in a while). The story here (imo) is that Yorktown looks legit and potential early favorite to win states this year. Only challenge may be that their only tough games remaining look to be Patriot (and maybe Langley). May be tough to stay sharp until Regional tournament starts in late May.

Definitely good showing by Yorktown (caught it on NFHS). Thought they looked formidable vs Oakton earlier in the week (and Oakton even scored 6 goals). Holding Madison/state champs to 1 goal is some pretty strong early season defensive work. Solid poles, strong transition and patient offense - they look to be in good form these days.
