When MCPS refuses to punish 7 year old students who beat their teachers, why wouldn’t you expect them to destroy public property and disrespect whatever faith or color you are?
I’m sorry, you people are insane. You don’t care, until you are the target. If you want to change anything, you start with effective consequences for EVERY crime.
MCPS doesn't have the authority to punish or judge guilt. These are matters for MCPD and the courts.

Anonymous wrote:In one of the middle school instances, the students got 4 day suspensions for drawing swastikas. That’s a change.

This isn’t schrodinger's cat. The child was not suspended.
they can't ruin my false narrative since I won't have anything to complain about!

I think that’s a new punishment, post Whitman incident. Principals take their directions on suspensions from above. My guess is the JCRC told them to hold people accountable if they want to see change. I support the suspensions. Students need to know what to expect when they deface property and are hateful, and it can’t be a conversation only.
Four days suspensions are not mandated in any way. A student at my school received no consequences.
Can you provide a citation for this? I'd prefer not to buy into hearsay for these matters.
This is not hearsay; it is first hand knowledge. I can’t give the name of the school, unfortunately (because of having a job there…)
