If you have an issue with the wcac coaching rule, go do your research and find the rule in writing, then go approach the AD for that school that is breaking the rule. Stop complaining on this post because it’s not getting you anywhere
No rules are being broken, which is why all they can do is complain.
Lighten up, coach. No one is complaining. People are asking questions. If you have a problem with that, that's on you. Deal with it.
The PP wanted to know the WCAC coaching rules. It's a fair question when GC's head coach is the only WCAC coach participating weekly from the sidelines in the indoor TSJ league.
Someone posted those rules, which (if true) was helpful. Last I checked this forum was intended to share information about DMV lax.
You say no one "complained" about PVI being in the winter indoor tournament. No one complained about GC, either. It was a single event after a short week following the return from the holiday break (games started Friday, the prior Monday was a holiday). If the rules shared in this thread are correct, that's allowed.
When a WCAC head coach is seen every week at an indoor league, people are right to wonder what the rules are, and if they're being followed.
People also also have the right to ask any question they want about it.
The GC fan / coach says they practice three days a week which allows the HC to be sideline for a fourth day to coach on the weekend. If those are the rules, and GC is following them, then that's ok.
But there's a larger question that hasn't been answered: how does the WCAC police and enforce off-season coaching rules?
If WCAC officials simply trust coaches at their word that rules are being followed, that's a problem. There's zero accountability under such a system.
At a bare minimum, WCAC coaches and their ADs should be required to sign and submit (to the conference) weekly statements showing the number of hours and days head coaches have spent with the team during the off season.
This would hold both the coach and the AD accountable and help keep everyone honest.
