I love Tom. Lifelong Patriots fan and even though he left whatever, he changed football in New England forever.

But I’m team Gisele. He’s old and he’s lucky he’s never been seriously injured. He’s the best football player of all time (IMO) and he has set records that will stand for decades (IMO). He’s playing for ego and vanity at this point and that is just selfish.

And hey, at the end of the day, if a spouse takes a job when the other spouse is so so opposed, then there’s been a betrayal.

Honestly, I don't know if they are really in a big marital spat. It could just be that she was looking for a reason to not have to attend football games and go through the rigmarole of having to appear devoted to his career so his pride wouldn't take a hit - because they certainly don't need the money or more fame.

I think Gisele is using this disagreement as permission to pursue her own business and career pursuits and to stop spending time trying to make him appear to be the "perfect" family man who spends time engaging and interacting with his children when he has probably never to involved with his kids' lives to begin with.

Gisele. Tom is a selfish ass.

Turns out the vast majority of men are selfish entitled jerks, whether they be rich and famous or poor and nobodies. Figuring out just how much selfish entirely jerkiness one can deal with is the universal condition of married women and women in committed relationships.

I think the saddest side effect is that most women who struggle with this issue are unconsciously raising their sons to follow in father’s footsteps - father models the behavior, mother tolerates it, son learns and later repeats. Thus the cycle of misogyny and patriarchy is never ending.

Gisele may be stunningly beautiful and rich beyond imagination, but she is just like most of the women here - like most of the women in the world.

We have no idea what goes on behind any closed doors. Not team Giselle or Tom, because who knows what’s going on. Which also goes to show you how meaningless appearances are. Hot, successful celebrities share many of the same struggles in marriage.

Whether they get breaks or not he told her one thing and didn’t stick to his word. I think that’s enough to reasonably get on someone’s bad side.
