And I live next door to a neighbor who's yard rivals Sanford & Son's! Scraps of old wood, wires, debris they bought on Craigslist, etc. They have a rat problem (which she sweetly shared with me). No grass AT ALL, just weeds.

I live next door to a yard-proud neighbor who runs his leaf blower at 9 PM on some nights. I'll trade you.

OP, have you ever lived in the suburbs? Serious question. In the spring and summer, I recall hearing at least one neighbor mowing their lawn every day or every other day. This is common.

Seems like you aren’t used to this and grew up in a city where lawns weren’t a thing.

NP and OMG I am suddenly in this position. I will take the lawn mower over the shrieking kids any day. Zoom and calls do not pick up the lawn mower. It does pick up the screaming kids. I've had to move my office to get away from our neighbor's kids. And I totally get that it is perfectly normal for kids to shriek and people to mow their lawns. I deal. But I cannot wait for my office to open back up.
