My experience has been there is no reasonable discussion, as they have their mind set on perceptions and not realities. And whatever the national trend is that is how everything is perceived, without any real exploration of what is in front of them. There are many adjustments to policies I favor, and wanted to explore real data and develop plans. They wanted nothing to do with it. They have all the answers on hiring, school discipline, adjustments to funding, etc. Ad hominem attacks are what they offered when a real conversation and collaboration were offered. They force themselves into the room, but marginalize themselves because if one does not agree with every premise, they are dismissed. And I was a dues paying member of the NAACP for many years, so my goals were not disimilar to theirs.
I'm just saying, it sounds like you had your mind set on certain end results or positions too. So that goes both ways.

Could they please just make Presidio the interim superintendent until there’s a new Board elected to which a qualified permanent replacement might conceivably want to report?
Why does she sound dreadful? Specifics, please.
Yes, why dreadful? She was named superintendent of the year by EdWeek. I think this is just part of the campaign by those trying to attack public education. It doesn’t matter what schools do, this right wing campaign will attack them since dismantling public education is the goal.
So you’re saying the Fairfax NAACP is a tool of a right-wing campaign to discredit public education?
You must traffic in conspiracy theories. NO to Reid!

More equity babble except the Pacific NW variety is especially virulent.

Reid should stay put in Washington State.
You have lost your mind. Seriously.

I assume this was sent to people in FCPS. What was passive aggressive about it?
