This is a BS response. The Democrats have shown themselves to be anything but civil in past confirmation hearings.
From the parade of protesters at the hearings to the inane questions asked by Democratic Senators - it is embarrassing.
You give me an example of an embarrassing question by a Democratic Senator and I'll give you an example of an embarrassing question by a Republican Senator.
Let the internet judge with is more embarrassing.
