A BB gun? Like in A Christmas Story and like my kid shoots at Cub Scout camp? Stop it with the drama.
You realize that “bb guns” just look like real guns now right? Like exactly the same.

It takes a while to get from PG to Rockville on a Friday afternoon.
Does she really live in PG?
Why wasn’t she heading to the scene immediately after it happened?
Why isn’t she working in the office?
It's 10 minutes from her MCPS office to Magruder right now.
Well, they had barricaded the road so that nobody could get on or out. It’s possible that’s why she was stuck - no access to Muncaster Mill Rd. near the school.
I am not understanding how this is her fault, or what MCPS could have done to prevent this.
Apparently nothing is ever this lady’s fault. If we are going to play this game at least tell me now what I can hold her accountable for.
I’m the PP and I think she should be held accountable for the poor communication around Covid guidelines, etc; I was as frustrated as everyone else. But I am not faulting her for being stuck in traffic on a barricaded road. I also (genuinely) don’t understand how she’s responsible for today’s shooting, so I’m open to hearing feedback.

And for those unfamiliar with midcounty roads, Muncaster Mill Rd. is a two lane road for miles, without many turnoffs or alternate ways to route around an accident or blockage. The backup leading up to the police blockade was miles, and no way to get around.
Do you not watch television? They would have let her through. She wasn't there. Period
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Watching the press conference and just feeling disturbed. McKnight literally thanked everyone in county government and MCPS before expressing any concern about the student who’s been shot or even saying anything about safety in schools. She then incredibly finished her statement blaming society. How pathetic. The absolute worst though is not once did she say that this was unacceptable and that guns in schools were unacceptable. It’s incredible. I don’t understand it.
Isn't that like saying water is wet?

Yet somehow Elrich, Rice, SA McCarthy were all able to get there and they had to wait for McKnight who works 10 minutes away but lives 45 minutes away.

Still means a gun was brought to school.
