Reminds me of Natasha Richardson. Freak accident.

There have never been pall bearers. The people who work at the places move the casket. Why did Bob have pall bearers? Where were they carrying the casket? I don't exactly know what they do.
I’m Jewish too and we always have pallbearers. It is usually the young people, grandchildren for example. We carry the casket into and out of wherever we hold the service and again to the graveside. If we needed help we could get help from the funeral home or cemetery. It is our obligation to do this just as it is to put the first shovel of dirt over the casket. I’m interested that you have not experienced this. Hiring out pallbearers goes completely against my understanding of the tradition. The tradition being that despite our reluctance to say goodbye, it is our duty to bury our loved one.
Agreed...I am Jewish and we always have pallbearers.

No one is doing that. No one.

He DIDN'T. He was 65. It literally could have been anything from a stroke, to a heart attack, to some underlying condition. Why assume drugs. That's ridiculous.
You're both ridiculous.
Plenty of 65 year old men die suddenly from heart attack, stroke or aneurism.
Plenty of celebrities use drugs. There's no reason to be so indignant that he didn't, or to think that it was a big problem which caused his death.
Bunch of naïve drama queens.
Oddly enough, as soon as someone's parents turn 55 or 60 on this site. EVERYONE assumes they need care, or might have some type of memory issue, or is "old"- so save your drama queen comments. There's really no reason to assume drugs were involved due to a celebrity status. That is stupid
NP, but I actually see the flip side of this more. People thinking their parents are still “young” at 70, so should be willing and able to just hop on planes to do long family visits or babysitting. People seem to think that a healthy60/70 year old is the same thing as a healthy 30/40 year old, and it’s not. I have three “healthy”, active 70 year old men in my life, and all three need / prefer an afternoon nap. All of the men and their partners have some kind of common health issues like Type II diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, arthritis, with (interestingly enough) the men having more of these smalll.
PersonLly, I wouldn’t assume that a 65 year old man is in the same kind of shining “good health” that a 30 year old is. A sudden death is shocking, but probably not really that unusual.

Assuming he had a long flight from CA to Orlando on the heals of covid, it’s possibly he had a blood clot—or heart attack or stroke. His sister died of an aneurysm. Lots of potential silent killers.
Very sad.
