Location sharing is critical. Verizon can take up to 24 hours to provide that if not on.

OP here. She knows Mommy takes no f-ing prisoners. LOL. She alerts me so I know what’s what and can work from my end while they work things from their end. Police loved that she called me.

+1 sure it might be hard to know just what to do, but in a situation like that, you call on the resources immediately at hand (her friend, strangers nearby, baristas, all of whom could size the situation up in a second, and could be part of the response, or call 911 if necessary), not a parent who is nowhere near. OP's DD was lacking in a sense of time and place.

Yep, it's not a crime. One of my kids has a deranged stalker fellow student filming him at high school. Nothing the school can do, but tell her to stop. They cannot take her phone. They cannot ask to see what she filmed. She can deny. You are allowed to film in public places. It's totally creepy. Police can do nothing. That was kind of the barista, but they do not have to erase it or stop. The laws need to catch up with phones.

Thought it was illegal to film without consent if the film is recording audio.
