The reason for Toby to buy the smoker was so weak and dumb - was not at all a believable segue. Super lazy writing. Hated this episode - though I love Deja and Beth.

Sleeping over at a friend’s house.

What do you expect pp to do about the fact that you’ve exceeded your monthly articles, don’t want to pay for something you obviously read, and don’t know how to clear your cookies?

Maybe a Covid or schooling issue with the young actors?

Better Madison than Cassidy, but I’m still pulling for Sophie.

I'm kind of surprised that there's not more chit chat on this episode, which I thought was great. Everyone's choices coming home to roost. Teaser on what finally blows up (literally) Kate and Toby's marriage.

I really like what they are doing with Kevin - I am a Kevin/Madison shipper (sorry, not sorry) and I think this may be the turning point where Kevin realizes that anything worth having is going to take work. Like a lot of other things in his life. I mean, if I'm Kevin and I want to be in that house 24/7 and I was ready to marry Madison I would put some effort into trying to have a relationship - like take the woman out on a date.

As far as Randall, Beth, Deja - I get the previous comment that Beth has to handle everything, but let's be honest people, in like 99% of families the mother would take this exact role and the father's reaction would be the same as Randal's, if not more reactionary. I did find it hilarious that Deja was outed on her own voicemail. So very of the moment.

At first I wondered wth wasn’t she upset her kid sneaked oos without their knowledge, then it became clear she was concerned but her role is always to lighten Randall’s heavy moods. Poor Beth.

Well also, having a sexually active teen is a bigger issue to attack than lying. Having her focus on birth control, how deja handling losing her virginity (she put a comforting hand on her leg before talking) is an important role for Beth.

Agreed, I was only referring to the initial reaction. Randall has a lot to learn about teen girls.

The only interesting part was kates son jack and the hint about what happens with the green egg.

+1 something needs to happen soon, has been soooo dull.

The green egg storyline sounds stupid. An accident happens and that blows up the marriage? Okay.
