I have this pet peeve with birthday cards too. 90% of cards for me or my kids arrive after their birthday! Whereas I put up a birthday banner for the week before their birthday (I have little kids) and would like to leave the cards displayed on our island that week.

I truly wonder how people like you and OP manage to get through your days.
Well, when someone displays cards on an island rather than a fireplace mantel where they should be properly displayed, that's all we need to know about them.

Not Op or Pp but guarantee all the PPs flaming those who think it’s not courteous to send cards in time for Christmas and go as far as say those who do are mental, unattractive, need a hobby, etc, probably send late. How about this- if you are too busy or forgetful to actually send a card prior to or on the holiday, don’t bother. If I am such an after thought that you cannot make it to the post office on time (holidays are same day every year) don’t bother. Everyone is busy, tired, done with Covid etc but still put thought into spreading cheers to others. I bet most of you posters typing insults don’t even tip your mailman and sanitation workers either.

Now I think about it, I think there's a thread like this every year.
Perhaps it's a person who wants to pressure everyone to send their cards earlier... because they're insane.
There are Christmas card and Christmas tree threads every year. Then the "authentic Christmas" types pile in to beat the Epiphany dead horse until it's even deader. Everyone knows about Epiphany and if they don't, that's because they don't care and it doesn't matter at all. No one cares about your stupid special Epiphany club. It's not secret special knowledge. Anyone can join up a pediphelic church anytime and give them money each week to pay the legal bills of its corrupt patriarchal grifters, and partake of alllll the man-made invented rituals and speak the Latin words. Anyone! They just don't want anything to do with it, for good reason.
People celebrate Christmas in the month of December with their families and their traditions however they want to and there is nothing you can do about it. They can skip or celebrate the 12 days and again, your opinion about it is meaningless. Also, they don't care at all what you think if they show up to mass 2x a year in their jammies or their short skirts, your opinion does not matter at all and no one cares about your judgment. Now isn't that special!
