Youngkin is going to push to defund our public schools with charters and vouchers. Our schools need to be supported, not to be gutted.
NP. This is absolute BS. Either you know this and are just a sour grapes LWNJ, or you are incredibly foolish. Either way - not a good look.
Truth hurts.
You have yet to utter one word of truth, so that kind of falls flat. Maybe actually educate yourself first before throwing out incendiary lies?
Sorry you struggle with truth. Let me guess - you voted for Youngkin. Ate up all of the GOP propaganda.
Oh, honey. You really need to rein in the sour grapes temper tantrums. Your guy lost. Get over it. And Merry Christmas!
Like I said, truth hurts. That’s why you deflect, deflect, deflect.

Says the twit frothing at the mouth about “GOP propaganda.” Get over yourself and stick to the topic.
Ouch. I can hear the pain in your voice. Truth hurts.
Youngkin is going to push to defund our schools with charters and vouchers. The people who will benefit most by that are private school families who will get their tuition subsidized. It will only further hurt the students left behind in public schools.
Charters and vouchers will HURT our public schools, not help.
You really seem terribly misinformed. No one is going to subsidize anyone's private school education - do you realize how insane you sound? You've been trolling all over this thread with your absolute lies. Charter schools - yes - admission by lottery. These are PUBLIC schools. The only voucher being proposed is a one-time $500/student voucher to help deal with Covid learning loss. Could be used for a tutor or enrichment. If you have actual facts to post, with links, please do so. Otherwise, STFU with your nonsense.
As already discussed in other threads, Youngkin has brought on a team of voucher advocates for guidance. They are pushing for voucher programs like WV, not just a $500 one-time payout.
Need me to walk you all through it - again?

Except... that's not what charter schools do, but ok. It's actually pretty funny (and sad) that this is what you believe, and want others to believe. Keep on peddling those lies!
CHARTER SCHOOLS
Charter schools provide options for parents and students while allowing communities and educators to create innovative instructional programs that can be replicated elsewhere in the public school system.
All charter schools in Virginia are nonsectarian alternative public schools located within a school division and under the authority of a local school board.

Even if it’s $5000, that won’t help the majority of students - just the UMC who are already in AAP.
Vouchers. Youngkin’s voucher team is priming the pump for vouchers. This has already been explained on the other thread.
A one-time $500 voucher per student is what you’re worried about? Good grief.![]()

Charter mom is out of touch.
She's actually spot-on and I hope she continues to post here. She was a longtime FCPS parent who has experienced both FCPS and charter schools. Her perspective and experiences are valid and informative.
No, she’s not. And neither are you is you’re still harping on Lucy Calkins.
I don't believe I've mentioned Lucy Calkins once, so what is it you're babbling about, exactly?
Read above. Charter mom is out of touch based on her outdated literacy info. Try to keep up.
I’m afraid it’s you who needs to keep up. I was accused of “harping on Lucy Collins.” Haven’t mentioned her once. You really seem confused.
