Anonymous wrote:The bio for the local player for FSU (Robbins) must have a typo. It says she played for Fredericksburg FC, but obviously she must have played ECNL or Girls DA.

Better possession, better technically, and better athletes. Madril and Howell are beasts. Chuck Norris once kicked Jaelin Howell and hurt his leg.
BYU had a 7th year senior in goal – that should be illegal. How is that even possible?
BYU was more athletic but could not pass worth sh%t. Talk about only being able to pass forward in a straight line and no creativity if stopped going forward. Speed of play was way too slow. BYU just holds on to the ball too long. Things were open but not if you hold the ball for as long as they do. The BYU player really never came back after that hard tackle.
Florida St should have been down a player. The international players where better soccer players and took over in over time. They made BYU chase. Hate the ref.
I agree. Not so much about the ref but Florida was better, international players are better.
Sp A team full of international players representing 8 different countries scrap by a bunch of girls from Utah with the help from the ref.
Those girls from Utah ripped through D1 women’s soccer this year. BYU had a 3.5 goals and a 24 shots per gamer average this year. Good break down of the games. Mikayla Colohan was a non factor after the hard take down by Jaelin Howell.
The real story is the strength of Florida St's defense. BYU averaged 3.5 goals and in the final scored none. BYU averaged 10 corners per game but in the final had 3 as opposed to 9 corners for Fl St. Madril was amazing and good enough for the WNT. Local Lauren Flynn was rock solid. They distributed out of the back, controlled the pace of play, and shut down an otherwise very productive BYU offense.

They were less creative, but still dangerous plenty of times, and given their recruiting pool is a tiny fraction of that of any other D1 school, what that coach/team has accomplished is really amazing. I seem to be in the minority, but did not think it was clear that FSU deserved to win - some of the better chances belonged to BYU, despite possession.
You're not in the minority.

It's almost exclusively international now. At least the ones that play are. Yes, there are a few plain ol' americans on teams - but the starters and the ones with most playing time are international. Thanks to the push for diversity and inclusion - someone has to take the fall.
I pity the poor parents who paid or are paying ECNL and GA prices to get their kids a commitment. You know the internationals are not paying $$$$$ club money. And each and every one of them gets a full ride on a D1 team - visa requirements. Ask me how I know.
The more you talk the more everyone realizes that youre bitter. Extremely bitter
It's ignorant to think only one person disagrees with you. That was my first post. It's not more - it's one - one MORE person who disagrees with you
Get over yourself. You are obviously a parent of an international player.
