The difference is that I don't vote for Republicans because I know they are going to be obstructionist a-turds. I expect more from Democrats. I also expect Democrats not to undermine the party's own platform and achievements.

I truly believe he isn't in charge anymore. The progressives initially refused to back down after ordered to on Friday in the House vote and they held out two weeks before when he was flying off to Europe.
Biden was quoting as wanting to sign the bill right after 11PM EST on Friday night when it passed Congress. He was persuaded to move the signing to Saturday afternoon with a press pool. That signing has now mysteriously moved to November 15th.Knowing every day of delay the money for projects and groundbreaking ceremonies for needed infrastructure is delayed as well.
Maybe he is putting pressure on Sinema Manchin to uphold agreement about the other bill?
He's definitely holding it out because the CBO deadline for the other bill is *coincidentally* Nov. 15th. The Squad probably blew up Ron Klain's phone on Saturday to get the signing moved. I hope it fails.![]()
LOL, not going to happen. This infrastructure bill was the biggest lure, and now that it has passed the House, Biden has no choice but to sign it. If Biden vetos the bill, there will be even worse blowback for next year's elections. There is no more pressure for Manchin and Sinema to agree to anything on the BBB bill.

What about the 200 Republicans who would wait idly for the next collapsed bridge or Flint, Michigan with their ‘no’ vote?

It's odd to insist progressives are representing everyone when clearly half the country doesnt want progressive policy.
It’s odd the way extremists like you insist that progressive politics aren’t popular.
“Sixty-three percent of voters in the poll said they supported the $3.5 trillion overall plan that includes spending on health care, long-term care, child care, and clean-energy jobs.” https://www.vox.com/2021/10/15/22723457/build-back-better-poll-democrats-bill-infrastructure-taxes
You can see the media’s abject failure in reporting what’s in the bill though. People don’t feel like they understand what’s in it. It’s almost as if the conservative media that people call “liberal” really, really wants it to fail. https://www.newsweek.com/most-americans-dont-know-much-specifically-about-bidens-build-back-better-plan-poll-1637397
Dem here. You do understand the difference between polls and elections right? The only thing that matters is the vote.
