I see the accommodations and compromises the married old people I know have to make. They are miserable. I know that placating is not for me.

My ex was a huge drain on me. Hi want to make my own decisions. And in her wanted to risk a step father around my girls.

I work. I don’t need a man and I don’t want the trouble they bring. Big spoiled babies. Never mind if yours takes a torn for the worst - lying, cheating, under employment, whatever. I just can’t trust anyone with that kind of power over me and my kids.

I’m on a thread that people are commenting it depressing and women are selfish for not sharing 1/2 their assets in a marriage.

NP. I didn't see any bitter woman. What I read was that women now wanted their own time and wanted to be able to focus on their own thing, and most importantly they are able to do so because they are financially stable. You should feel good too because you'll know that women are with you because they want to and not for financial reasons. What rubbed you the wrong way?

Not remarrying-ever. I've had my kids. Not interested in caring for another grumpy man. Not going to be a stepmom. I want 'my' kids to inherit my assets (such as they are, not a fortune lol). When I retire I'm going to go where I want to go and do what I want to do. Maybe I'll get a dozen cats and chickens HAHAHA
