We aren’t with Washington ballet anymore but this brings back so many memories. They do tend to stick with the time stated, and if I recall, they have been late in previous years. Let your dancers go to bed and surprise them in the morning, hopefully with good news. Best of luck to all of you!

Yeah I’ve seen plenty of ballets with trouser roles. Operas too. Should be fun for PPs daughter!

It sounds like they were emailed because their DD was offered the role of party boy, which is atypical for a girl.

Congrats to your daughter! My DD was a party girl three years in a row. It’s a great scene!

True, I wish I were one of the emailed people...either good or bad, just to know.

Yes! Lots of good ballet ju ju for everyone!

We just got an email that our DD was cast in 2 roles - but one as a party boy (we don't know the other one yet). I guess there were not enough boys that tried out to fill 3 casts so they are casting girls in some of the boy roles. She is excited that she got a role(s) but doesn't know how to feel yet about playing a boy. I guess we will see what the other part is that she is given. Good luck to everyone!

Our parent portal is still blank. Does that mean my DC didn't get a part?

Ours too, I was wondering/assuming the same

They have not posted results yet.

I wonder why they are emailing some and not others.
