DD of immigrants here...I would find it very odd if my DH with Mayflower ancestors, in any context including social media, referred to me as an immigrant.

She went to Yale undergrad, Cambridge for a Master's, and back to Yale for her JD. I figured he married her for her parent's money.
It's a bit confusing, but Gates and Gates Cambridge are two separate programs. Gates Scholarship is for undergraduate funding and is for low income students, while Gates Cambridge is for graduate study funding and is for anyone. You can be rich and get the Gates Cambridge Scholarship, which I believe Bev Vance received.

Not only did she win a Gates Cambridge scholarship, she sits on some prestige Gates board, and Bill Gates blogged about how amazing JD’s memoir was. And JD and wife were set up by Tiger mom and her creepy husband. Then intel vendor Peter Thiel becomes JD’s mentor and benefactor. All a totally organic set of circumstances.

Sure. And opportunist sociopaths can exaggerate if not make the whole thing up and then conveniently the mom is tens years clean when the book comes out. I’ve never read a single piece of proof the mom was actually a junkie.
