Other than the call for sanctions, this is just a lot of stupid rhetoric about "peace through strength." Biden is doing sanctions. So what's the point of this? He's doing exactly what she wants and yet she cannot stop herself from criticizing him.

What precedent is there for ranks not closing behind a US president in a time like this?
We all need to get behind these sanctions as soon as they are announced!? At least the Germans sent helmets.

No. Just no. Look at history, and apply it to what would happen if we took in a bunch of Ukrainians.
In 1959 the people of Cuba overthrew the fascist Batista regime. Tens of thousands of Cuban elites and capitalist kleptocrats fled Cuba, most going to south Florida. Their descendants are STILL voting republican today. They are responsible for Florida still being a red state. They grew up their whole lives being brainwashed about how JFK and Democrats let Castro take over the country and caused their parents of grandparents to flee for their lives. And they’re still holding a grudge and keeping republicans in power over that.
Now extrapolate that to potentially millions of Ukrainian refugees coming here. They would settle here, have children, and brainwash them about how President Biden and Democrats let Russians take their country from them. Those kids would end up just like the successive generations of Cubans who are hard-core GOP’rs. And there would be far more of them, and they would be highly politically motivated to continue to punish Dems in America. This will affect the Democrats for generations if we take in a bunch of Ukrainians who wouldn’t fight for their own country when Russia attacked them.
We cannot admit Ukrainian refugees. It would be an unmitigated political disaster within 20 years.

What we're currently witnessing is the end of putin as we knew him but also the end of the russian federation as it currently stands.
Russia doesn’t have the financial nor human ressources to engage in a protracted military conflict with multiple nations at once . Worse, this war is putin's and solely putin's. If anyone saw that awkward exchange he had with his spy chief , you'd know this . There's no realistic path through which it ends well for putin and russia .
This raises a question I've been having. The USSR broke up for a reason. Won't that reason (or reasons) still apply if Putin takes some of those areas back? I don't know if those reasons are the areas being a financial burden, unmanageable anti-Moscow sentiment, or what. But it seems like if Putin puts Humpty-Dumpty back together again, it's not going to be any prettier than it was before.

There are no flights out MAGA
Maybe US needs to take control of Donbask International Airport like we did in Kabul?
The difference is that we were already there. It was our fight. This is not our fight. Any US military involvement makes this situation worse and not better.

Maybe the truckers should turn around and go back to California.
