He went off on so many tangents, told so many lies, wandered away from the points he was making again and again and again. I'm not sure he's even capable of reading a teleprompter any longer.

Just because someone can string a few sentences together does not make them competent.

Mental competence requires sustained attention, focus, clarity of thought, coherence, etc. Trump demonstrates none of these.

He might be fine as a retiree out golfing and hanging out at his club, but as POTUS, he is not mentally and physically able to perform his duties.

Read his daily schedule. He does about 30 minutes of work a day. Most presidents have worked 12-18 hours a day, 7 days a week. He can't do a fraction of that.

I don't think he's really in as bad of health as everyone says. At his age, he is going to have a little bit of cognitive decline. Many people his age are on blood thinners and/or have heart issues. So, for his age he's not in bad shape, but the fact remains that we should not have an almost 80 year old President. That's way too old.

Please, medical folk, what is the implication from his swollen hands? Is that a symptom of heart failure? I know swollen ankles are a symptom of heart failure.

I will vote for anyone who passes a law mandating a 75 yo (or better yet, 70) retirement age for all federal officials. I don’t care what party you are. I will vote for you. These people need to be spending their day at Dennys, and not within 100 miles of the government.

His hands look like my FIL's. My FIL was on a blood thinner for a heart condition and bruised easily. The top of his hands were often bruised and it was usually from minor bumps. This is because the skin on top of older peoples' hands, which is already rather thin, gets thinner and they lose fat, providing less of a buffer protect the capillaries close to the skin's surface. DT has already stated he takes a daily 325mg aspirin (against his doctor's advice because it's too much) so, at his age, that alone would account for bruising on top of the hands because aspiring acts like a blood thinner.

How long did FIL live like this? Asking for a friend.

Sadly for your friend, he lived to 89.

My guess is he lives a lot longer but it probably won’t be a healthy or peaceful end of life.
