You were right on your prediction.

Using laxnumbers for a “prediction” is like saying the Chiefs are going to beat the Bills by 7 when Vegas has them favored by +7. That just means you are unoriginal and can do subtraction.

If you are going to criticize a post, at least pay attention. The poster nailed the winner, differential, and (almost) the exact score. It had nothing to do with LaxNumbers, though you may want to ask the poster for advice the next time you place a bet. The link is to the Inside Lacrosse national article that previewed high level regional rivalry games for the week, featuring SSSA-STAB in the lead-in as two high level teams referenced in the national Top 25 poll. SSSA is ranked in the Top 25 and STAB named as right outside receiving consideration. The game lived up to the billing with excellent players on both sides.

Hopefully this explanation provides some clarity in your attempts to master unoriginality and subtraction.

As the kids say, you got "clocked"

Or, it’s the exact score laxnumbers “predicted”.

Is SJC healthy? Heard they were bitten by injury bug a few weeks ago.

No; multiple ACLs plus.

Didn’t see that coming! Is SR better than we thought or Visi not as good?

Visi is not very good. They have struggled all season due to a lack of real talent.

Did their best player play? Ranked #2 in the country seems like “real talent.”

Yes she played. Doesn't have much support.

Wow what an insult to the rest of the team. Maybe hero ball and single player worship is not the key to winning.

LaxNumbers is a joke. The algorithm they use is so flawed. Look at their national rankings. They have St Anthony’s as number one and Darien is 6. Darien beat SA and is undefeated.

The algorithm doesn’t factor in head to head results which is bizarre. Plus, how do they determine strength of schedule? Is it by how they have teams ranked from this year? Last year? As far as I can tell, the algorithm adds strength of schedule and goal differential (capped at 10 per game) to determine an overall score.

St Anthony’s plays one of the weakest schedules in the country every year. At most they play two or three teams that are in the top 25 at some point. Which historically means they have a big differential every year. DMV, Baltimore and Philly teams play rigorous schedules every year so even going undefeated they would have lower differentials.

LaxNumbers is good for scores but I wouldn’t put any stock in the rankings.
