This is why the really talented kids go to private schools and also play for highly visible Clubs.

This is accurate. Zero college coaches are going to watch a Woodson HS lacrosse game. They need to see a player perform against they type of competition they would likely face in college.

Zero college coaches watch any high school games until their season is over. They have no time. They also do not have budgets big enough to have recruiters out at high school games.

final

3-3 towards end of 1st

11-6 at half

First team to score over 6 goals on Robinson.

Curran had his starters in until the last second, including yelling to have his starting attackman take a shot with 3 seconds left

So would you had rather Robinson pass the ball around the outside, pouring more salt in the wound, and allow the Woodson players to just hack them up?

Woodson is a storied program. They have been on their fair share of lopsided victories. What makes 20 worse then 19?

It was 8-3 at the end of the first and 14-6 at half.
A pole took a shot in transition at the end of the game, not an attackman.
Just to clear up some of the details

Most of the players never touched lacrosse stick before high school. Each team realistically only expects to be competitive in about 3 games all season. But they work hard and take pride in playing for their schools. There’s about a minute left in double OT of a hard-fought game on Annandale’s senior night. The winning goal is nothing to write home about, but what happened afterward certainly is. Please watch until the end and keep your eyes on #17 in white.

Loved it!! One of the best post all year. Everyone on this site should strive to be like #17.

I think Broadneck will win by 5+ but you never know. Broadneck just lost to Severna Park, which looked like the weakest of the three MD teams that Madison, Langley, West Potomac played. Madison could have beaten Severna Park. Of course, Broadneck killed Madison and Langley.

The difference in skill in the Patriot League between the top 3 teams and the rest of the league is really significant. It doesn’t feel like the gap is as big for any other sport…

I want to second this sentiment. I understand that public schools don’t have the flexibility to rearrange the districts but it really is too bad that schools that can barely field a lax team have to play schools where lax is their most popular spring sport. It’s terrible for everyone and it occasionally results in some very bad behavior on the part of the kids.

Kind of laughable in light of the 9-6 final score.

McLean looked sloppy

is that the final? I'm surprised it wasn't a bigger margin.

Their offense couldn’t hit the side of a barn tonight

Battlefield will kill McLean if they play like that on Saturday.

I’m hoping they just went into the game overconfident and it was an eye opener for them. I have no doubt that they got an earful from Coach Sims post game and will again at practice today. Hats off to Herron for making it a game

I'm sure he's a great player and kudos on his success, but it's a little tacky to glaze like this when the team was destroyed.
