It’s possible. Back in the late 80’s/early 90’s all the teams were likely hung over for weekend games. I doubt teams will be overlooking opponents after how close the last few games have been.

I dont much want to defend GZ given how much I dont like them in general. You tend to develop a serious dislike for that school if you attended Blessed Sacrament or were/are part of that parish. GZ was playing on a Sunday after a pretty close game v SJC Friday night. Its not a back to back tilt, but its still not an easy turn around this far into the season. Not an excuse, but that might be why GZ looked tentative.

Gonzaga definitely won't take GC lightly as GC was up 7-3 at half. Should be interesting to see if Gonzaga blows out GC or if last game gave GC confidence.
Looked like GC played scared the 2nd half (trying not to lose - instead of playing to win like they did in the 1st).

GZ players were most likely hungover from the night before and woke up in the 2nd half and beat the piss out of GC as the game went on

1. Georgetown Prep (13-2): Lil Hoyas are cruising right along with 10 straight victories, their offense continues to light it up. Hoyas have locked up the #1 seed for the IAC playoffs and the IAC regular season title. Bullis waits in the shadows

2. St Johns (12-3): Since their loss to national powerhouse Saint Anthony's, the Cadets have won 5 straight. Squeaked out a tough victory against an athletic Gonzaga team on Friday night in horrible conditions. The phenomenal goalie play of Caleb Fyrock has propelled the Cadets to yet another undefeated regular season, WCAC playoffs loom.

3. Gonzaga (12-5): Despite their 5 losses, the Eagles have the athletes to hang with anyone in the country. Look for the Eagles to get a rematch in the WCAC title game vs their crosstown rival, St Johns.

4. Landon (10-5): The young Bears have won 4 straight since their beating from the Lil Hoyas from a few weeks ago. Despite their offensive woes, the Bears defense has been dialed in particular the offensive production of LSM Davis Owens who might be one of the best LSMs in the area. Episcopal is on deck.

5. Bullis (13-5): the Bullis offense has wiped off their mid-season rust as they are scoring in waves and Jewel Walker is back. If the Bulldogs want to make a post-season run in the IAC, their defense will need to step it up. Huge regular season game tomorrow against rival Georgetown Prep.

6. PVI (13-4): Since losing to DeMatha in early April, the Panthers have won 6 straight against marginal VISAA opponents and teams at the bottom of the WCAC standings. The Panthers are always athletic, can they change the stigma that the Panthers always tend to fade come post-season play?

7. Episcopal (13-3): The Maroon played Georgetown Prep last Friday in a very tight contest before the game opened up midway through the 3rd quarter. EHS plays a lethal zone and has a phenomenal goalie to keep it close with anyone. Landon looms...

8. St. Albans (11-7): Despite their 7 losses, the Bulldogs are the most underrated teams in the area. They have proven themselves with some very quality wins earlier in the season and have had some close losses in recent weeks. They will need more offensive production if they expect to make a run in the IAC playoffs.

9. DeMatha (9-8): DeMatha always has the horses to run with anyone but they are way too inconsistent with their play.

10. St Stephens (7-9): The Saints are super young this year and it shows. Look for them to bounce back in 2024 as the majority of their squad is all coming back.
