Police have no legal duty to save lives.

Do the cops hold any blame for not intervening earlier?
No the blame lies solely with the perpetrator. Period. End of story.
He fired off 100 rounds in two minutes before even the first police arrived. The majority of the kids were already dead or dying and a faster intervention may not have saved anyone. No one on the DCUM knows for sure.
I also don’t blame the weapon, but the shooter.
All you have to look at is what happened in Bath, Mi in 1927 where a demented person killed more children than Uvalde. Every death is tragic and believe it or not, I am for some forms of gun control, but eliminating the method of murder is really not going to reduce the crime. Demented folks will always find a way.
Timothy McViegh certainly did without ever firing a shot.

Absolutely false. There was a kid calling 911 from the room with her dead teacher’s phone who didn’t make it because the police were still standing in the hall fully armed and protected. Protocol and training since Columbine, so probably for some of these officers entire lives, has been to go in to stop the killing, then stop the dying. Stop your gaslighting.

Anonymous wrote:So you’re telling me that the “good guys with guns” are incapable of handling the situation? Can we now put to rest the myth of a school shooter being stopped by a “good guy with a gun”? Clearly this is a fantasy of cosplaying tough guy gun owners across America.
Oh and also if trained police officers could find a solution, why do we expect teachers to? Teachers are trained to take down a shooter cops are, and failed.
Can we just put an end to these two solutions purposed by morons to solve school shootings. So stupid. SMH.
The only solution is to ban assault/military grade weapons, now. But I know they won’t because punisher-obsessed men have to cosplay and do not care about others.
