Unfortunately I do think the "outsider" tags hurts her. Collins voting no on the SC confirmation will also boost the incumbent. Not at all sure about this one.
You think she’s going to vote no in Barrett? I don’t. She said she disagreed with the nomination and hearings occurring before the election, not that she will actually vote against her. Total Collins move IMO to express concern about that and then vote for her anyway. I guess we’ll see.
A day after Ginsburg, 87, succumbed to cancer, Collins said Saturday that Ginsburg’s replacement should be nominated “by the President who is elected on November 3rd.” She said the Senate shouldn’t vote until after the election.
She told reporters Tuesday she’d oppose any Trump pick if the vote occurs before Election Day, not because of the nominee but out of fairness.

Former Vice President Joe Biden has pulled ahead of President Donald Trump in Georgia, and the candidates are statistically tied in Ohio, according to new Quinnipiac University polls of likely voters released on Wednesday.
The Georgia poll also shows Democratic challengers Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock leading against the Republican incumbents in the state’s races for U.S. Senate.

Why did the democrats spend so much money in this race? Is it because they have too much money? Or is there a chance to flip it there?
In the aftermath of his loss, Beto has continued to build a ground game in Texas. He says that it’s not as red as one might think, just has a disengaged electorate. Looks like they’re turning up to vote, so there is definitely a chance. There are also lots of competitive local races there, and that should also boost turnout.
