1. I don't hate nor think down upon those who don't vaccinate. DD is fully vaccinated.

2. I'd happily give up a percentage of my salary for universal healthcare for all US citizens.

3. I'd love firearms to be banned, while I know it's unrealistic.

Are you gay or just asexual? How's your self esteem?

Staying together for the kids in the absence of abuse is the smartest decision long term. Marriage isn't necessarily a romantic venture insomuch as a life, which involves more than just romance. I think it's short sighted and dumb to leave a spouse if it puts you and your family in a worse situation economically. I also think long term, love is something bigger than just romance. It's surviving life together through all of its ups and downs.

That said, I think divorcing a spouse who is economically sinking you is a good idea. I actually supported my sibling who left their unemployed SAHP because that ex was an albatross financially and didn't pull their weight at home. Interesting enough, the ex-SAHP left the kids with my sibling to raise alone to find themselves. They were just useless.

This common core math reform is BS. Kids were never going to understand math no matter how you phrase it

This is not surprising. Joel Osteen is a heretic and while he says "inspirational" things, he grossly misinterprets the Bible. I'm sure you're a nice person PP, and I'm sorry you're misled.

. You clearly need to go back and read your Bible...

Different poster here- please cite one instance where Jesus condemns homosexuality or gay marriage. Just one. Go ahead....we'll wait. We know there was a ton of homosexual activity going on back then. Yet, Jesus was oddly quiet about the issue. He had plenty to say about greed, hate, hypocrisy, ....but never uttered one word about homosexuality.

NP here. Can you cite chapter and verse where Jesus supports it?

Anonymous wrote:Education Reform is total BS. The kids in the ghetto can't make it in life because their families suck and DC doesn't care about their public schools as much as it does the ones the rich kids go to. It does not take a village to raise a good kid.it takes two parents who actually care about their kids. The good teachers start out in the crappy schools bcuz these schools are desperate for educators and the teachers need a resume builder.

I also think that principal at the school in NW staged the big gay day celebration last year so he could claim discrimination when he got fired for sucking at his job.

THIS x100

OK, but what do you suggest - we just write these kids off and never give them a chance? Sure, having 2 great parents is ideal, but these kids need help. You can't just say "oh, well - too bad their parents suck"

No, they still deserve a free public education until 12th grade. However, the reform thing is bogus because this is not the movies and those things like Stand And Deliver don't happen because data, they happen out of a genuine relationship of trust between teacher and pupil. Not much change is going to happen when the DCPS, esp the ghetto ones, are a revolving door. The sold are desperate for teachers so they hire a lot of first years. Once the teacher had something on the resume, it's off to the suburbs they go. These kids lack consistency in the first place, that's a huge part of the problem.

TLDR: the reform starts in the families, not schools. DC should be having public campaigns about family life and chill out on the data.

YES! Yes a million times.

We have a school population that is over 50% asian. Trust me, they are too busy pushing their kids to actually give a crap about the schools. Hence, why our PTA is so poorly supported.

PTA is a SAHM institution, it serves no benefit to anyone except bored housewives

China will take over the world via Africa. When manufacturing costs rose in China they began to move plants to Africa where labor is even cheaper. Look for China to have even a larger presence in the world economy with ever cheaper junk that those in the Us will buy to placate children they do not understand how to discipline and fill their silly big houses. The best thing us like the oil companies, China may be able to control some of Africa!s diseases in an effort to preserve their cheap labor pool

So as I age, I should start bashing gay people and saying poor folks are lazy?

I don't know a single conservative that says or even thinks/believes this. It's usually liberals running around saying that this is happening when really it isn't at all.

Let me clarify, about gay people or poor people.

???? the entire GOP platform regarding social issues is based on the idea that giving poor people help takes away "incentive" to do more, that giving them support makes them sit around and do nothing but "take", they spin up their base by disparaging and targeting poor people all the time

They do have a point though. Do you do everything for your DC's or do you let them figure things out on their own

No the people who want 5,000 SF houses in Bethesda and a Range Rover secretly want a life in which they do not have to trade the traipsing for a mature relationship with life

I read this forum too ya know. No way you're convincing anyone that city dwellers have mature relationships with anyone or anything.
